Holy Hip-Hop

When I decided to write about Holy Hip-Hop I was at a gospel nightclub enjoying the presence of the Lord.  That's when I went into a rant in my head about a message in the music. When people think of Hip-Hop they think of flash not substance. But when I think of Hip-Hop I think of the Word of God pouring out to the masses in a much needed and different way. I think of men and women who love to worship and love the presence of God. They love to see lives changed because of Jesus. Just like their lives were changed. Smiles, lots and lots of smiles!  Hugs, joy, friends and Jesus being lifted up.  To me Hip-Hop is more about the words than the beat. I like the beat but when the Word touches my heart that's when I sway and bounce and get all excited!  Why, you asked? Because Holy Hip-Hop's message has been the same from the beginning of time. Ya see music comes from the Lord. Therefore, Hip-Hop is for Him. So when you do Hip-Hop right. It can be sung A capella and make ...

R and B

R and B When I close my eyes And think of it I feel the touch of my love Her hands gently touching my face Gliding with the rhythm I see our love through pictures in my mind The first time we met eyes The first time we held hands The first time we kissed The true flow of R and B is about true love Whether about a love that's away or a love in your arms A love lost or greatly received R and B is a smooth wave of emotion It must be sung with heart Passion is a prerequisite Soul is necessary As the record plays up to the CD We cry with the break ups And rejoice with the make ups Our heart is ripped from us Only to mend by the same song R and B is R and B We remember the song from the first note played And reminisce on the feelings we felt when it played Time travel is real and here when we listen to R and B with our heart's ear As I walk with my love hand and hand And look back at our life with great joy I believe the songs sung with heart and tr...

Yesterday started out with me taking a shower at 11:30pm then going to gamestop to get uncharted 3 (awesome game) at 12:01am. Afterwards coming home to wipe a skin pre-operative wipe on my stomach.  I played the game a little then tried to go to sleep. The Lord was good because I got good sleep even though it was only 2 or 3 hours of it.  Woke up at 5 and wiped some more skin stuff on me. Put on my clothes and Pam and I was off to the hospital. We needed to get there at 6am. We got there on time. Found parking by the elevator so Pam wouldn't get lost on the way back from dropping me off. There was about 20 or 30 people there all ready to get cut up. We went to the desk where there was a pregnant nurse to check us in.  Then we sat down in the middle of the room so I can people watch. A few minutes later a tall flight attendant, I ...
