Surgery: My First Voyage
Today is one day after the surgery to take out my gall bladder. It seemed to go really fast. I was nervous but believed everything would be ok. Yesterday started out with me taking a shower at 11:30pm then going to gamestop to get uncharted 3 (awesome game) at 12:01am. Afterwards coming home to wipe a skin pre-operative wipe on my stomach. I played the game a little then tried to go to sleep. The Lord was good because I got good sleep even though it was only 2 or 3 hours of it. Woke up at 5 and wiped some more skin stuff on me. Put on my clothes and Pam and I was off to the hospital. We needed to get there at 6am. We got there on time. Found parking by the elevator so Pam wouldn't get lost on the way back from dropping me off. There was about 20 or 30 people there all ready to get cut up. We went to the desk where there was a pregnant nurse to check us in. Then we sat down in the middle of the room so I can people watch. A few minutes later a tall flight attendant, I mean nurse, proceeded to explain where everything was, what we will be doing, and how to put our tray tables in the right position(all she needed was the hand signals). There was even a board to let our love ones know where to be after the surgery just like in the airport :). A few minutes later a second pregnant nurse came in and I started to wonder if I should keep Pam from drinking the water. Soon I walked in and met Wendi my nurse,or should I say my backup nurse, who took good care of me. Unlike Jenny who obviously had more important things to do than to take care of me lol. I got poked then wheeled to surgery and before I knew it I was out like a light. Then I was up. It happened so fast. Now I have one less gall bladder and a big smile on my face. God is Great and I'm healed.
