My Fathers
Sometimes your fathers don't know your name
But the joy they bring
Fills my heart and makes it sang
When I was young
I gunned around and transformed my body
Because the father I copied
was more than meets the eye
Yet he was still my papi
as I grew
I knew I wanted to be a good dad
Because my father made silly sounds and goofy faces
As the embraces of nations wrapped around my father's sweaters, hoggie sandwiches, and occupation of bringing joy.
Then I got older and was bless
To have a father that showed me how he loved on his kids and lead them to Christ. He was part of many generations of Christ followers that have penetrated the enemy's camp to bring back many p.o.s.(prisoners of sin) in many countries.
I have been blessed but there is more
6'8 and can sang with such power and compassion
It only took a nod and a knowing smile to make me want to follow this man of vision and passion.
I have one more
He said the best is yet to come
He said we can do it
He said fight the good fight of faith
He gave me hope when my dad was diagnosed with cancer
He showed me God really does have something good for me
I'm not quite done.
Just like a good preacher I have many closes.
My bio-dad had a great smile
Charisma for days
wasn't always there
Wasn't always near
But like the superhero he was
He always loved me
My step dad
Was there
He cared
He loved
He laughed
He taught
He is where I learned to be a man
He passed away in body but never in my heart
4 of these men have passed away
There was great pain and sorrow with each passing
However....
GOD
Has always been there, will never leave me, and has never failed in bringing me a father to show me how to be like my Heavenly Father. Everybody has a dad and He loves you so much.
Happy Fathers day.
