If i had a son.......
If I had a son...
I would tell him to find a best friend and ask her to be his mate. I would tell him that loving your best friend is easy but maintaining it can be rough. Your thoughts and wants are very important but your desire for her and her well being will be paramount. I would tell him to ALWAYS put God first, even in front of your best friend. Because son, you won't know how to love her or even love at all until you know the love of Jesus. And same for her. If she doesn't know Jesus then don't date her until she does. Patience is important when dealing with love. Son you will find your thoughts will go to her at all times. You will know her great attributes and her bad ones. You will accept her for who she is while challenging her to be better. She definitely will do the same for you my friend. There will be a certain level of peace when you are around her like some kind of special strength you get from just being near her. Your friendship with her will feel very natural. You will be very intentional about spending time with her but it shouldn't feel forced. And you shouldn't have to force it. Your spirit mind and heart should be on the same page. Choices and circumstances can play a big part in your relationship with your love. You may have to make tough choices for her benefit or yours as a couple. Make sure you tell her that you love her, she needs that. Finally, Love is doing. You will feel a lot but your actions will show if you love her not your mouth. Son, I hope this guides you. Love is not an exact science but I hope this helps you clear up some things when you need it. I love you very much. Dad.
Honored to read your heart.
