The Generosity of the Lord Jesus Christ

If someone gave u $100.  What would you say?  Thank you of course. What if they did it again? You would say thank you again. And so on and so on. What about the air you breath? Do you thank our generous Lord for that?  I believe you do because the air you breath came from Him too.  As a matter of fact He owns everything!  Now that I have established that.  For the last week or two I've been focusing on giving God the first part of my day. I must say it has been amazing.  I feel like I hear the Lord so clearly.  Also, it puts me in the proper perspective of; seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all these things will be added to you and that everything is the Lord's.  Waking up in the morning  has been great!  By the way, I'm not a morning person at all. Why did I start doing this you ask?  Its simple, Jesus, also I'm going to the School of Generosity at my church.  The leaders there start their day off with "facetime".  It's a time where they listen to the Lord through reading the bible, praise, worship, and prayer.  Instead of focusing what they need. They focus on what God wants them to do that day.  Basically putting the Lord's will before their own. This is a great thing. Being able to hear God's sweet timely voice gives me confidence to go through the day with boldness and joy.  So before I started facetime the weeks went by with testimony after testimony about how God has blessed people because they blessed someone else out of love.  I figured I want to get closer to Him also blessings seem to come when you do get closer to the Lord. So why not!!  That is how I started and now here is my testimony.  So while in class the teacher asked if there was anyone in need and to come up to the front. I sheepishly walked up and he gave me $100 dollars.  Just enough to pay the bill that was past due and going to get shut off. Wow!  As I sat down the tears started to flow. Not because of the money(although we really needed it) but because of what that money ment to me.  It ment that God is hearing my prayers and for a while I was starting to wonder if He was listening.  I recently realize that my life was not in order and because of this God could not bless me the way He wanted to. The blessing would cause more pain than good if He did bless me during that time. So for me it was a sign that things are in order and He is free to bless me more.  Even with that being said the best part of all of this is that I blessed my Lord by spending time with Him, Wow!  My Lord owns everything and can bless you anytime He wants to. I didn't do anything special for the $100 dollars. Shoot, I didn't do anything to deserve air.  God is a great God and we need to get to know Him cause He know us and loves us sooooo much.  Thank you Lord for the money and thank you Lord for the air. :). You are a generous God.  You deserve praise for all you do and I love you so much. Thank you again Lord.
