Heaven is not a city, it's a Kingdom

"Heaven is not a city it's a Kingdom".
These words were spoken by my daughter Ruby just minutes before we found out that one of our neighbor boys died in a freak home accident.   I knew him well, he was only 11. We had played football just a week ago. This event has shaken our apartment community, our family, and of course his family.  For a full day they mourned in our cabana, not moving and barely eating.  I can't imagine losing any of my kids.  This is a reminder that we are not promised our next breath.  That we can't wait to be in each others lives.  Don't think "I can wait to tell them about Jesus" because you may not live to tell them.  Or "I can share Jesus with them later, they will be here tomorrow".  They may not be.  I feel like I could have done more in the little boys life.  That I could have spoken more to him or something but I do know that I gave him a opportunity to see Jesus.  I guess I feel like I could have showed more.  These last few days makes it very obvious to love on people when you get the chance to.  Don't wait!!!  We have a King that is worth sharing and His name is Jesus.  Jesus was born in a manger.  The manger was more like a cave.  It was dirty smelly with poop probably everywhere.  He asked a teenage mother and a confused step-dad to take care of Him.  He told shepards, that were dirty smelly and unworthy in most peoples eyes, to be the first to see our King.  Jesus easily could have chosen a less messy way to enter the world but He didn't want to.  He WANTS to get into your mess.  If Jesus, the creater of all, is WILLING to come into our mess because He loves us so much then I think I can get into others mess to tell them about Jesus.  There is no mess or situation that is too big for God.  He is WILLING to come into your mess and pull you out.  Let Him do what He came to do!  To redeem and restore you!  Just ask Him with your mouth while believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord.  Ask for forgiveness.  Repent(turn away from) of your sins(and you won't be perfect, He paid, with His life, for the sins you have not yet committed also).  That you love Jesus. You will obey Jesus and you want Him to be Lord of your life.  He is a King and He rules His Kingdom.   Jesus wants you in His Kingdom and Loves you so much.  Don't wait!  You are not promised your next breath.  Jesus is King and He loves you very very much!!!!!!!!!!
