Mind Blowing

It's mind blowing  

The production of this destruction is revolutionary

As kegs of gunpowder go off in my head I think where am I going

I thought I started this journey on a freeway.  

It was smooth and fast.

I could see what was coming around every turn.

Any sinner with their sin could be seen and pointed at with disgust.

My daily bible beating was done without fail.

But as my hidden sins continue to mount up.

The road has seem to have shrunk

Unto a highway.

The fast track for Hell

I swear it was all down hill.

Yet at the time my highway was heaven in my eyes.

Full of judgmental behavior and supposed-to's

Then my hidden sins started weighing me down

like my eyelids after driving from Portland to Seattle with no sleep 

Causing me to get on the off ramp and make a right on front street

On the surface this street seemed painfully slow.

Full of stoplights and caution flags

But in reality this surface street caused me to get passed the surface and get deep.

I'm talking under the flowing lava deep

Down to my rotten, disgusting core of egomania 

I took just enough time to get off of my self to ask.......

Who is Jesus really.......

Then that's when my shortcut appeared.

Or big bright light that I decided to walk into even though everybody says stay away

But I wanted to die to myself because

He came down to where I was, stuck in traffic and showed me there was a better way to live.

That He is not afraid of my congestion of sin or yours for that matter

I knew that I can truly be free because of the King that died for His people

So these detours that I thought were slowing me down  

Like a turtle stuck in the tar pits

Was actually speeding-up my journey by adding nitros to my heart

Jesus Jesus Jesus has blown my mind

Now I Do life with my fellow sinners

I'm free from being judgmental and free to love just how Jesus loved me 

Full of sin and ignorant on how to get out of sin

Now I'm back on that freeway 

Detouring people to the highway 

So they can slow down

To see their front street

And realize there is a shortcut to Heaven on earth til Heaven

And His name is Jesus
