It's pitch black with twinkling stars and flying suns It's quiet and peaceful with sleeping kids and sleeping hearts my eyes are steadily closing my heart losing it's fire I'm tired of looking and sick of failing I'm finished with "just a friend" I'm finished with fixing hearts I'm tired of knowing what to do but nobody to do it with I'm sick of "there are no good men" when I'm standing right there where is my love where is my passion well until then I'll sleep, dream and go my own way I wrote this 12/30/98 So for all you single folks out there I have been there. Now I'm happily married. Keep the faith in Christ.
I had a great day with the FAM yesterday. We relaxed, picked up a tree, saw someone steal from the store then steal a car(crazy), decorated our tree and watched a movie. Its the simple things. Except for the car thing that was just weird and crazy. Merry Christmas
Bachelor parties as a married man can remind you of things. In this case nothing naughty (smile). So somewhere between the groom licking a kiwi and us men playing street fighter. The elder statesmen of marriage spoke some wisdom to the young cats. We talked about don't wait to teach your kids. Why do parents teach their kid how to walk before they know how to. Teach their kid how to share before they know how to. Teach their kid how to be a 6 year old when the kid is 4. Because they are excited to see their child grow. Then the child hits 8-10 and all of the sudden the teacher is nowhere to be found. Why do you seem to be surprised when the child wants you to teach them how to be a pre-teen or teen before they reach that age? It's almost saying I was never a teacher why are you looking at me.
